Soulslike - Discussion, News, Memes
- Welcome to /c/Soulslike!
As an attempt to consolidate the few specific soulslike communities we have on Lemmy and to offer a general discussion space for people interested in this genre of games, I've created this community.
Feel free to stick around, post something, check out the communities I've tagged in the community info.
Let me know if you have any questions!
- Showerthought: Meeting people on Lemmy is like seeing other players in FromSoft games
We're all strangers meeting other strangers passing by, maybe having short exchanges about things we care about and that excite us, only to move along and drift apart like we've never met the person in the first place.
We see phantoms of other players in the games, seeing that they're at the same place in the game as you are, wondering what their experiences and their lives look like. Sometimes we cooperate to defeat a difficult boss, sometimes we're enemies. But after all is said and done, we move along and usually don't bump into them or have exchanges anymore.
Sure, there are regular faces that are very active on Lemmy but the majority are casual users or users that don't comment a lot.
Kind of a weird thought to have, but the Majula music got me thinking quite a bit just now.
Have a nice day :)
- [News] Kadokawa Employees Reportedly In Favour of Sony Buyout Due to Issues With Managementwww.psu.com Elden Ring Parent Company Employees Reportedly In Favour Of Sony Buyout - PlayStation Universe
Employees at Kadokawa are reportedly in favour of a Sony buyout, as they are looking for a change in leadership.
Kadokawa employees are reportedly in favour of a Sony takeover due to ongoing issues with current management with the Elden Ring parent company.
Sony was reportedly eyeing up a takeover of Kadokawa last month, and the industry giant itself admitted that it had been in talks about a possible buyout, but no decision had been reached at the time. However, Takahiro Suzuki, an economic analyst, told Bushun that employees at Kadokawa are eager to see a change in leadership, but believes the company itself would have little to gain.
Quote from an employee: > The people around me are thrilled at the prospect of an acquisition by Sony. That’s because there’s a certain number of employees who are dissatisfied with the Natsuno administration, which didn’t even bother to hold a press conference after peoples’ personal information was leaked in the cyberattack. They expect that if Sony were to acquire the company, they would get rid of the president first.
- Thank you for 1000 monthly users!
I'd not expected that this community would land as well as it did. Coming from my previous communities, I would have expected a couple hundred monthly users at most but seeing more than 1000 in such a short period of time is awesome to see.
I'll do my part and keep posting stuff, and you do your part and enjoy the posts. Thanks, guys!
- [News?] Rumor: Kadokawa Wanted Sony To Buy Them For Years - But Sony Only Wanted Their Anime And Video Games - Gameranxgameranx.com Rumor: Kadokawa Wanted Sony To Buy Them For Years - But Sony Only Wanted Their Anime And Video Games - Gameranx
FromSoftware might not be entirely happy about all this.
Interesting development. However, I don't think Sony is only interested in games given that they have a strong footing in anime and would gain even more of a standing in that sphereEdit: Misread the title
- [Sekiro] Which ending did you get first and which is your favourite?
My first one must have been Immortal Severence, which makes sense given it's the most common to get if you don't obey Father Owl, and I liked it, sure.
My favourite was probably the Dragon's Homecoming ending. Sure, it took the most effort but it just feels very final and feels like it sets up a sequel really well.
