Custom launchers and icon packs should work on any android version
Most should work you just risk adding an extra place someone can attack your phone so give a good vetting to any custom additions.
I don't think Graphene has customizations
Graphene is the boring person's custom ROM.

Looks amazing tbh
it's looks like every other roms out their I just found it be most stable. I'll be moving on to paranoid android next.
