They can often "toe the line" in a social sense, being able to fit in with a white group, or a black group more easily. Whether or not this is what's happening here is a different story. But socially, i think there's something to be said about it.
Fundamentally, you fit in less with any given group, so you're more likely to be around more broader influence and likewise have less specific influence from any one group. Social cliques are likely to form around you, not with you for a similar reason. In a way, you're sort of alienated from the group, though arguably not in a bad way, since you can sort of fit into any group available. Which makes you more flexible socially, which is obviously advantageous for something like, politics for example.
The tricky part here, is whether or not this is actually happening, and if it is happening, subconscious racism, or just broader social theory (which argues that similar people coalesce into a group, and by virute of being a different ethnicity, you also have a different culture (thats partially how ethnicity works) so it would be expected that some form of social clique would form.
alright, i'm too fucking tired to keep posting this kind of shit on the internet, don't kill me in my sleep, please.
oh and for the people who struggle with reading comprehension sometimes, like myself, this isn't racism, obviously. This is just some sociological pondering.
are you arguing that racism hasn't changed at all since historical accounts of racism?
I mean, i don't think i fundamentally disagree, but considering i was never talking about racism in the first place, im not sure how much this matters.
Speaking of ethnically relevant group social behaviors, china is a prime example of this. They have a certain type of behavior around foreigners, since they aren't very common and chinese society is largely homogeneous, even including the existing minority racism that's going on in china, those are more closely related to the broader populous than an american, for example.
you see similar things around other societies as well, this is extremely prominent among remote tribes and groups of people living in places the general populous doesn't live. Interaction between the two is often, very weird.
considering i was never talking about racism in the first place
I guess that's hard to respond to considering your post was removed by moderators. I'm sure that has nothing to do with racist speech in the post and was completely unrelated and unjustified.
yeah, unfortunately it's a little hard to tell due to it being fucking deleted, but what i can tell you, is that mods never told me why it was deleted, so i assumed they just thought it was bad juju and didn't want it on this post, which fair enough i guess.
I feel like if they thought it was racism i would've been informed otherwise. That or fucking banned.
What i can say is that i didn't do anything explicitly racist, i could see how it could be interpreted as racist, but you would have to have a really generous opinion of what i said or what the definition of racism is in order to make that call ultimately.
pontificating about the behaviorisms of different ethnic groups in society isn't inherently racist, in fact it's arguably a good way to study for potential racism within a society. Arguably, it may even be the only way to discover racism at a more systemic fundamental level.
idk i just think social behavior is interesting, and this post kinda sparked that shit in my mind, especially with that recent Kendrick diss beef, that also alluded to the same shit.
oh and btw, before you try and get clever, i mostly listen to 90s era electronic music, with a heavy european bias, because for some reason, that's mostly where that era of electronic music came from (the stuff i enjoy at least) (this is also yet another place where ethnic differences would be involved though, there is substantial study on different cultures and how they approach the concept of music, with the western european approach being generally monolithic due to the usual european history shenanigans, man, isn't this stuff so much fun?)
though i do also listen to a lot of american metal, i don't really get much outside of that sphere, because i would really have to spend a lot of time cultivating music otherwise.
stop what? Thinking about inter ethnic dynamics? Europeans aren't exactly known for always liking other europeans. There's also the whole "eastern europe" problem, which is argubaly a hold over of soviet era discrimination of the block countries.
I'm sure the irish like the british, surely they would never have anything bad to say about them.
yeah, but that's boring though, isn't the whole point of the internet posting stupid shit for shitposting reasons or just incoherent train of thought rambling?
Seems more productive than spreading misinformation and ideological biases that are actually negatively influential on society.
Sometimes it's important to sit down and think about shit, even if it's stupid.
no, but that's also because i don't tell anybody to believe anything i say.
I'm literally here to kill time, why would you put any conviction behind half the shit i say without being a little bit independent and capable of figuring things out on your own.
Part of the reason i do this is to make an example of the fact that people can just post shit on the internet, i could literally just make some shit up, and you would believe me.
I don't think people believe you, based on the down votes you've received.
I also don't think people need examples of "shit". It makes the comment section worse, which seems weird to do to a place you want to participate in. You have a choice to be better.
it's fine if other people believe me, i assume you've spent some time on reddit, as i have, you should know by now that downvotes mean almost nothing other than "uh oh stinky" and "mmmm i like this post, it make me feel good"
I've seen people get downvote bombed for forgetting a /s on an obviously sarcastic shitpost. Threads will often have progressively and progressively less downvote bombing even if they start bad, and pretty quickly start to engage in good faith argument. The only thing that seems to lower the downvotes is the "display thread" button that blocks the rest of the messages.
I also don’t think people need examples of “shit”. It makes the comment section worse, which seems weird to do to a place you want to participate in.
you aren't wrong, but it's not like anybody needs the internet either, i just think it's often the best way to get people thinking about the shit they read and the shit they say. Maybe i'm wrong, or maybe you disagree, but that's the beauty of the internet.
i wouldn't say what i did makes the comment section worse beyond that of being mildly offtopic, it's relatively schizo, that's about it.
You have a choice to be better.
i'm not sure what you're trying to imply here, racism?
