Where was this taken?
I lived right next to Goshogawara until very recently. I was thinking this might have been Aomori, but Goshogawara is even more interesting to stumble upon on lemmy.
I think Aomori doesn't typically have ones this size. They're either a lot bigger or smaller. Did you ever see Hirosaki neputa? The atmosphere is not as upbeat but the art is really cool.
