Ricochet opened up about his WWE career in an interview with The Ringer.
You can place the blame anywhere, but I just blame myself…that’s the only person I can blame because that’s all you can do. Obviously I didn’t do something, I don’t know what it was. For me, again, frustrating is maybe not the word, because again my last couple of years I met my future wife there, I made mad connections, the locker room was always awesome. As far as creatively, I mean yeah, there would have been more I’d like to do. Just again, mostly for the fans that want to see me do stuff, not even for me. It’s more frustrating for me to see the fans want me to go out there and actually do something of some substance. I was out there a lot, I was on television a lot, I was used a lot. But the quality of what I was doing specifically wasn’t there. There was a lot of quantity of Ricochet, but the quality of what he was getting just wasn’t what I wanted.
Like, I get it. I wasn't part of it, but I understand the sentiment. To still hold a grudge seems kind of silly. Right now honestly may not be the best time for them, but the past couple years I have been watching have been fantastic. It's never going to be Black & Gold again. We have that at AEW
Edit: 2.0 gave us Gunther, Bron Breakker, Tiffany Stratton, Ilja Dragunov, and sooooo many more. Now we have Giulia and Vaquer coming in to liven the place back up. Not to mention the TNA cross over. It's getting a little stale, but has been a ton of fun. I love TNA now. I think Shawn is doing a terrific job and isn't getting enough credit.
Apologies if I am being too defensive. I mean nothing by it, just throwing out my opinion
Yep. I loved B&G, 2.0 lost me hard and never got me back, but I also have like 30 promotions I follow so idgaf lmao. But I still check in when interesting stuff occurs.
I'll be the first to admit I'm a fan boy lol. I get not having room for another promotion, no biggie, but to actively hate on it when you could just go watch AEW baffles me
