Why do I find older Star Trek so cozy? Is it just nostalgia? The relatively utopian view of the future? The competence of the characters? The fact that each episode has a tidy ending instead of a cliffhanger?

Or a 3 parter! The Circle trilogy was so much fun.
Which "Best of Both Worlds" technically is, where "Family" serves as the catharsis to Picard's ordeal.
