In his statement, Newsom said the bill focused too much on the biggest and most powerful AI models, saying smaller upstarts could prove to be just as disruptive.
Jesus Christ... "don't pass a law stopping Facebook from sucking up your data because some other company could take over for Facebook and suck up your data instead."
California seems to more and more do categorically weird things. Newsom especially.

Serious question, what is the political ideology that says that normal people, including minorities, deserve respect, and those with power deserve mistrust?
