Had a picnic with the uni gardening group I'm in today. It was really nice to chat to everyone.
There's an avocado tree that was planted at the beginning of the semester with two avocados. I hope I will be given an update when they're ready to harvest.
I will miss this uni because of the familiarity, but the garden is what I'm sad about leaving. I'll go back to visit if I'm ever in the area :)
If the avos were planted as fruits at the beginning of the semester, you've got several years to wait for harvestable fruit. If the trees have fruit on them already, well, the fruit doesn't ripen until removed from or falls off the tree. Ripening then takes up to 60 days and can be longer depending on storage temperature. They might be waiting for the fruit to get bigger before taking them off the tree, though. This might give you something of a timeline.
