Yeah definitely. The mods here are really hyper sensitive about it too. They actually deleted my other comment and said I was defending transphobic commentary. I disagree but w/e. Little bit of 'power' and it all goes to their heads with no discussion.
I'm inclined to agree. I've had i think 3 mostly innocuous comments now removed here. I think I had that many removed over the course of many years at reddit. Way more sensitive and suppressive here.
I realize they didn't like it. That much is obvious. It was a really benign joke though and a lot of people are getting bent out of shape over it. Hence "can't take a joke".
The trans community can be very tetchy about even the slightest joke because they have been the butt of some really awful and offensive ridicule. But honestly, being mad about this joke is silly because it's not some punching down ridicule, it's including them in as a positive option for fictitious "ways to hook up with chloe".
So yeah, be mad or offended over something that obviously had no ill will. It's your right to feel how you feel. But I also get the right to have my opinion that you are being overly sensitive about something that was a lighthearted joke. Welcome to the internet where everyone has an opinion, they all suck, and the points don't matter.
