YT Tech Channel Recommendations
Do you guys have any recommendations for me to switch to? I already subscribed to Gamers Nexus, Hardware Unboxed and JayzTwoCents.

If you want data based reviews and information: You already have Gamers Nexus and Hardware Unboxed.
If you want "why the hell would you water cool that?" with the occasional hot take that mostly comes from ignorance/"popular science" understanding (without the arrogance that insists he is right): That is JayzTwoCents
If you want cool tech reviews for gadgets and devices? MKBHD is more mobile oriented, but Marques is awesome for the "would I enjoy this?" style reviews
And I fell off before they reinvented Yvonne as a Maker so not sure if that ever went anywhere, but Makers Muse and CNC Kitchen are that nice mix of "hardware review", "tech discussion", and "cool projects" in the 3d printing space.
In terms of crazy/stupid builds: Bit Safety Third oriented, but William Osman and Kevin "The Backdoor Scientist" the Backyard Scientist are awesome for those fun "We wanted to do something stupid that shows off our engineering skills" that were more one offs for LMG whenever Alex had time. Just keep in mind it is less "I install water cooling in my bedroom" and more "I built an x-ray machine out of stuff I got on ebay" or "I made a better ballistic sword missile than raytheon ever could". If you enjoyed the "let's use random shit as thermal paste" style concept, it is that but by people who are ridiculously good engineers. Alan Pan deserves an honorary mention but he has a very different style.
And in terms of fun high level builds by someone who is generally vaguely problematic in videos but has yet to be shown to be an asshole in reality (and is often shown to be the opposite... outside of being an edgelord): Michael Reeves, baybee. Just... it is more "racist elmo doll" than "I ran fiber up to my attic and spent 3 grand on endpoints".
And if you just want to watch a narcissist yell into the camera a couple times a week: Louis Rossman is more active than ever.
But mostly? Just watch the channels you like and listen to the creators they "give a shoutout" to.
Michael Reeves is the special kind of wacky where I'd equally believe "he just paid for a brand new orphanage" and "he just accidentally burned down the orphanage". Love it
I mean, he definitely has enough "dumbass edgelord kid" to him that I wouldn't even be overly shocked if the "accidentally" weren't there. Would very much be that "eeeeeehm. Well... let's unsubscribe from that and pretend this never happened" vibe
I’d also suggest adding Colin Furze and Hacksmith to the “wacky builds” creators. The Secret Santa things between them and a few other creator channels are a great way to find even more.

Hacksmith... I think their vibe is VERY different. But I was going back and forth about making a joke like "If you like watching a Canadian with a large staff make cool shit for him" but realize that, unless you have the context, that is really shit. Since that is a mix of James needing to take a mental health break and HI generally being REALLY good about spotlighting the team rather than just the Personality.
But now I have an opportunity to explain the joke. Which is the best kind of joke.
HI increasingly feels like "What if Jake Laser had a budget?" (and Jake seems to be working toward that considering recent videos). That focus on actually doing semi-deep dives on different aspects of the build rather than just "and its done". It is just that Jake... probably got a few letters from the FBI considering some of his early videos are straight up "And here is how to make a concealable wrist mounted cannon. Uhm... don't sharpen these crossbow bolts" so there is a lot more glossing over the builds. But when your build is a giant walking robot or a protosaber...

Can you comment on Louis Rossman ? First time I’ve heard someone say that. I’m curious to know if people really think that of him.
I do get the sense from being a bit of a long time viewer that he's a bit up his own ass, especially as his channel has moved more towards a talking head style, but he gives me the same vibes as a single issue voter concerned only with right to repair. But when called out he seems to take criticism much better than most (especially LTT) and is willing to put his money where his mouth is. However, I only semi-regularly watch his videos so ymmv
I also rarely watch his videos as they tend to be a lot of angry rambling, but his takes on right to repair stuff as well as right to privacy are 10/10
Agreed wholeheartedly. He applies his values equally and doesn't just change his perspective to fit whatever narrative is needed.
