Federated Threads users still can't see posts from other fediverse apps yet. But you can see Mastodon user profiles if you get a like, follow, or reply and can choose to follow that person.
I never get this argument, there's no extinguish because the Fediverse'll just go back to what it was before Facebook attempts to extinguish it. People talk about custom protocols or something, but Hexbear is running on a different version of Lemmy and despite how jarring the experience is there, It's not due to the code they're running.
Lol acting like there is anything left to extinguish. Lemmy has done just fine with its own users alienating everyone. There is almost no new content here and the little that is left is either a repost, someone taking about how they totally don't miss reddit, or political post by an angry progressive that probably doesn't align with reality.
It's just the ok symbol. Tldr; it was what I would call a shitposting campaign on 4chan. You can read about it on Wikipedia under the "white power symbol" section: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/OK_gesture
Most of the time I would assume that people don't mean it as a white power symbol, but this asshole has been shitting up threads for a while now so I don't have much left for them in the way of charitable readings.
