I've learned Hangul just for fun, it is extremely easy and quick to learn. It is almost perfect, except for the double consonants and a lot of double vowels. Those make no sense at all to me.
Double vowels, easiest way to remember imo is to think of them as 'ways to make a W sound or other sounds not specifically handled', for example Hwang, 황 , h-oh-ah-ng, kinda just rolling through two vowels like that.
Double consonants are a little trickier but it's mostly about pushing more air to make a different sound, like the initial consonant in 'gap' and 'cap', tongue is mostly in the same place but with a little gusto you get that sharp crisp C/K sound and with a little less gusto it's more a G from the throat. Kinda how ㄹ makes an R-like sound or an L-like sound depending on if you're making the sound at the end and not voicing it
