Yes, it's just this community for discussion of world news that literally anybody can join regardless of political beliefs or options.

If only you had commented in a blatantly sexist community! You'd have tons of people agreeing with you then.
This is an "I'm 14 and this is deep" level of realization right here.

Dang. That's a real mature and comprehensive stance to take on the situation.
No wonder you're getting downvoted by neurodivergent tribalists.
1 2 ReplyIt is sad to see that the hivemind exists just as much on Lemmy as it did on Reddit, tbh. People still haven't figured out the points are meaningless and you can have your own opinions. Everyone keeps bringing up upvotes and downvotes like they're supposed to have any significance. I genuinely could not care less. Sometimes people agree, sometimes they don't. Such is life.
2 3 ReplyThe problem is that mods will often look at vote ratios to bend the rules and silence dissent or controversy.
Someone already said this guy was 'trolling,' and if he gets reported enough, mods will just ban him to shut everyone else up.
1 2 ReplySo far I haven't encountered much in the way of powermods on Lemmy luckily. But we'll see. I suppose it's probably inevitable.
