They can't admit a mistake. They can blame it on someone, but they can't back down now.

Fascists love wordplay. To them, an "administrative error" means "something beyond their control." They also must maintain the perception they are simultaneously the victim and strongman.
It's not a message for us, it's a message to blind supporters - "we did nothing wrong, and we don't have enough power, give us more"
