I hate how much they clearly just focus on the foot and ignore other circumstances like the shove and straight up just tell him what decision to make.
@Astrealix @ironeaglebird the telling him “what he sees” was surprising to me; thought it would be on the on field ref to judge what they see 🤷♂️. In this fame VaR giveth and taketh away; so glad we got the 3 points.
I'm all for soft pens being overturned. I just want the consistency.
Also United fans complaining about the Højlund one when it was literally just two guys muscling for the ball.
Totally agree, this kind of penalty is given so often as well. It’s the first time I’ve seen VAR overturn the decision. Usually, they just stick to the on-pitch decision.
