Not every therapist, and those that do are awful.
How, exactly, is a therapist awful for giving sound medical advice? Keep in mind, you're not qualified to say whether they're a good idea. Neither am I. But the people who are haven't found a problem.
Because self harm is not the answer.
Then it's a good thing that gender affirming care, such as puberty blockers, isn't self harm.
Therapy is there to help you live with who you are, not to convince you you are someone you aren't.
