World news is almost certainly more heavily astroturfed by the west and its mods aligned with banning anyone who goes against the state dept line. Feds probably put less stock in controlling subs outside that, news, politics ones.
I would not rule out the grad and hex users have accounts there. Not saying all based comments come from us but I'm sure there's some overlap. Which is good. Prevents those Nazis from being able to fully alienate the users from our influence.
I'm sure there are plenty of decent .world users who decided to use that instance before finding out about Lemmygrad and Hexbear, and hopefully they'll migrate once they realize that the admins there are fascists
