I would not only start DS9 before watching all the TNG movies, I'd consider starting it before finishing TNG. After all, they overlap in time period both in-universe and in terms of production. Specifically, season 1 of DS9 happens roughly concurrently with season 6 of TNG.
It's not overly important to watch it that way, but at least it avoids continuity weirdness with O'Brien and Worf.
I'd recommend DS9 Redefined, basically a group ripped DVDs and used AI to make a definitive remaster. They have instructions to download it in their Discord: https://discord.gg/AdMrnJ63
This isn't necessarily directed at you, but just an expression of frustration with the enshittified web:
I don't know what that link is, but a link to a PDF is one whose url ends in .pdf and, when clicked, downloads a file that you can then open and display in your PDF rendering software of choice. It does not open a motherfucking HTML file that displays the document along with some other Google Docs UI bullshit that prevents you from downloading the actual PDF file properly!
In this instance I don't think that's so much of a bad thing, as pdf's have something of a security risk with them. However mostly it was my wording that was wrong, I didn't mean to imply Google was hosting a pdf, the pdf is on Discord.
...wow, that is a much more manual and complicated workflow than I expected. I thought it was going to be more like a batch-process script or something.
I think you can just jump into DS9 at this point? Its for the most part self contained, with some imported characters from TNG, but nothing that would require knowledge of the movies? Its a great series, with a planned arc ala babylon 5 (some very close similarities with babylon 5... very very close)
