I think that would have to be done by the Parliament.
Still a good moment to initiate that discussion.
The discussion was initiated several hundreds years ago and is still going. Approximately 80% of the population are in favour of keeping the monarchy in its current form.

Yes. They know the proper role of monarchs.
She's not in charge of that. Denmark has a parliament.

Exactly. What's the point of monarchy in 2024?
They serve as good will ambassadors and bring in more tourist money than they cost to keep running.
They also have lobbying and political power, at least in the UK.
Also, it's not the living monarchs that attract tourists. It's the buildings, the places, and the history. Just look at France and Versailles. You do know what they did to their monarchy, right? It's the place and the history, that people go for.
Because a lot of them think they are somehow superior to others because they know who their ancestors were for the last 30 generations.
