A steady stream of demonstrations have broken out in cities across the United States and in other countries during the three-month war in the Gaza Strip.
Monkey see protest in Seattle so monkey do protest in New York.
Yup, block traffic and now I hate the protestors and their message, no matter what it may be. They are not effective forms of protest since no one relevant to fixing their issue is even affected.
Something tells me the folks responsible for the ethnic cleansing in Gaza aren't based on those bridges, and they don't care what a few hundred people in NY do.
Source: been to lots of protests, some lasted weeks and were violent. Result of, I think, all of them was nothing that was wanted changed. WTO, Afghanistan, Iraq (for 10 years, every Friday at 5...), occupy, Trump, police brutality 2020. The worst thing you can do is alienate those who might otherwise support you but are just trying to get their kids or get food on the table or whatever. Don't drag riot cops through random neighborhoods at night while they teargas families in their homes because they are trying to kettle obnoxious kids lighting outdoor furniture on fire or tagging random people's homes. All those things are counterproductive and don't help anybody's cause except conservatives when it comes to election time.
