Wow, nobody is going to be allowed to use FaceTime. Like anybody uses that. Since it was invented I've never used it. Go Apple! The assuming fruit! Because, oh yeah, you betcha, all we people ever use is FaceTime for video conferences. I mean, yeah, like, that FaceTime app on my iOS devices. It's just there. I have video chats with people. On FaceTime? Never. So, yeah Apple, you go stick up for the good guys and just remove services to an app nobody uses anyway.
OMG, my mother is over 80 years old. I am almost 50. She lives on a pension that is hard to survive on. She has an Android phone. I have an iPhone. I live in Spain. She lives in the United States. I video chat with her on something that is compatible between us. She could die tomorrow. I mean really, people, that's what this is all about? I have to tell you my personal expat trauma and my elderly mom, and how we communicate with each other, to really bring this in to focus? Yeah, what applies to me doesn't apply to everyone, but I think I'm close to being reality. I get notifications about this bullshit? Really? My mom is over 80 years old and can't afford apple products. she is ill and has an android phone and tablet. She lives on the North American continent. I live in Europe. My mom shall see my face on video all she wants, but sorry, not on an apple thingy. Also going to visit her in person real soon, which is hard. You know, planes and all. Me? Rude? About what? Because I didn't bring my old mom into this? Give me a break, people. Some of us have dramas we'd rather keep to ourselves. However, when we bring the dramas out into the open, we see that FaceTime is not exactly the standard way to video chat with any fucking body. you shits.
Still downvoted. Un fucking believable. So, basically, this means I just delete away. Delete delete. And Block technology. Because it isn't about technology. BTW, where are all the technology people looking for news about technology? I'll navigate over to there.
OK, yup, uh-huh. Then after that you use something else to video call. Since like, I don't know, the damn thing was invented. My point is: communication by video call is not going to be disrupted by this "Apple threat" in case you didn't catch my drift. I don't use the fucking thing for anything. Know why? Other people don't have it installed on their devices? Know why? They don't use Apple devices. What was your point again? Oh yeah, you didn't have one? And you were happily going along with my sarcastic comment and you just knew I was being sarcastic? Because you're a smart person. Yeah, I thought so.
Hey buddy? It seems like you might be gen x but you're leaning a little on the boomer side today. Do you need a Snickers? Blood pressure meds? Fix your shit or go to Facebook with this nonsense. Please.
You know what I need? A nice shot of tequila. After I drink that shot of tequila, I'll get another shot of tequila. Then, I'll just light myself up a joint. And after that, after I smoke myself all that calming ganja, I'll tell you what I think about your comment: what in the actual fuck are you talking about? Mind you, I'm all calm. Asking you all calm like.
what are you talking about? you can use FaceTime until you and I are both dead. Not my point. You need to use the FaceTime. It's what you use. You don't need other apps for serving the same function. I think that's fine. What's your problem with me? I don't use FaceTime much. It isn't feasible. I can afford to use FaceTime, other people in my life can't afford it as a way to communicate with me. I have money. They don't. We use other apps. I'd think by your standard I'm charitable. By my standard I'm just keeping in touch with my peeps.
Where did I attack a person? Please show me where I was attacking people. I disagreed with people. Attacking? Where is the attack? You should be banned for false accusations.
Now that is a news story. That's a multi-platform, multi-hardware thing. It's also owned by a corporate entity that wants to turn your data into a cheap hooker, but there you go. FaceTime is not newsworthy for anything. In order to use it as a dedicated video conferencing app, everybody in your social life has to be using an apple device. That's just not realistic in terms of weight on the market. People are downvoting me because why? Because I think Apple things are only for rich people? I have an iPad. I live abroad. My own mother, speaking of which to the person who speaks to his or her mom only by FaceTime, uses Android phone and tablet. I talk with her face to face by video. I don't think we can do that on FaceTime, since she can't afford to have nice Apple things like I can. She uses Android devices. I think we use other things not Apple to talk face to face with video from afar. I'm pretty sure my situation is more relatable than the situation of some person who does their whole video conferencing life by FaceTime and no other app. My God, people are hypocrites. Just face it, world. You're all poor. You and your loved ones can't afford to communicate with each other via FaceTime exclusively, unless you hate your poor family members and ignore them.
It's the same in the USA. Trust me. I'm an American. Or don't trust me. I'm an American. Haha. People in the UK can't afford Apple things just like people in Europe can't afford them, just like people in the USA can't afford them. It's one thing to take a stance. It's another thing to take a stance and actually have an impact. If people in the UK can't use FaceTime, it won't interrupt the lives of anybody. People don't use FaceTime much, anywhere. It's not possible, unless you want to talk to yourself on FaceTime most of the time and get a FaceTime call from another person maybe once a year. By the way, what does this have to do with technology? Technology is not about this. It's about hardware and software, not apps people like to use. Technology, for me, is about tools you use. An app could be a tool, but this news story isn't about a tool. It's about a corporation making an empty statement to look good about a useless tool that is not universal.
