Seriously asking, has he done anything decent since Cloverfield? Maybe Lost but... I never got the hype he had back in the day.
I'm sure he's talented, wouldn't be where he is, but still...
6 0 ReplyJJ is great at build up Mystery boxes. He can craft this big world changing question and hype around it all.
Then, when it comes time to open the box, you find that it's a pair of old gym socks with more holes than sock.
You then find out that he spent the entire writing budget on more lens flares.

He created Fringe, so I'll give him that.
13 0 ReplyFringe is better then Lost and ill die on this hill.
12 0 ReplyI just finished another rewatch of Fringe, such an amazing show!
4 0 ReplyAnd how cool was it to have Leonard Nimoy in a sci-fi show again?
4 0 ReplyYes! So great as both a good guy and a bad guy too!

You won't be alone there.

Lost was the fucking worst. I regret watching it.
8 1 ReplyI was honestly okay with it right up to the last episode. Then suddenly it was "the island is fixable with a cork" and "everyone's in heaven" and "no, we're never answering any of those other mysteries," the end.
4 2 ReplyI agree, but the fan theories that came out after redeemed it somewhat for me
2 0 ReplyThat is way too many fan theories to explain away a bad ending.

I really liked Super 8 when I saw it in theaters but I haven’t watched it since then
3 0 ReplyIt was okay. I wouldn't call it exceptional. Out of the many sci-fi films that came out in 2011, it was one of them.
