You know how we say Democrats are terrible at messaging? This comment section is perfectly emblematic of why. You can't make a statement talking about accomplishments without people bringing up negatives.
It's fine to debate value judgements here, and we should, but be wary about continuing them in neutral spaces. We don't have to be happy about everything Biden has done. I'm certainly not. But if we're trying to convince moderates by talking about his accomplishments, we probably shouldn't talk about everything we dislike too.
Why aren't they trying to take ALL the credit for the infrastructure bill? It's like they're allergic to messaging at all. That bill actually is great and is a real accomplishment and most people don't know about it and/or believe it was bipartisan.
They are just so bad at having a consistent message and platform that isn't whiny bullshit. Republicans have no problem with this, we know exactly who they are and what they stand for. I get all the Dem emails everyday and the only message I EVER see is "not trump". And sure that's great, but are we that confident it's going to work again?
