Not only does the United States supply Israel with weaponry, it also provides them with literally billions of dollars for military spending, which it's able to spend in its own military industry. It's pretty fucked up.
Without military aid, Israel can't exist. Maybe they shouldn't exist but, since Israel is unlikely to agree, they would just turn to China or (more likely) Russia for that aid. That would not be a good thing for Palestinians.
Pretty sure that quit being true round 1985. At this point, even with no military aid, it's a "real country" and ending it would be expensive in every sense of the word for all trying.

Every service member is entitled to defend themselves. Some do it by launching flares. Others do it by firing anti radiation missiles at any missile system doing enough to target them.
