On liberal contradictions

Is it not incredible how the same people who are talking about how the west is descending into fascism also think that the west has moral superiority over the rest of the world and has the right to impose their values on the global majority.

  • I think the worst part of all this is how Biden is being presented as the option against fascism. With Obama, you could weakly argue that he was hip/cool because he was Black and relatively young. Biden is practically dead. Plus he said shit like how he did not want his kids to grow up in a racial jungle. I feel like with how focused on focus groups Democrats are at least they would not have a frontrunner who is such an eyesore.

    • For sure, also anybody who's outside the lib bubble can clearly see that Trump has become more popular than ever as a result of Biden's policies. It's kind of absurd to argue that Biden is the solution when we have concrete proof that he's not.

    • I don't think they have anyone else besides Biden who can come close to Trump in terms of popularity, as weird as it sounds.

      • manufactured consent, manufactured popularity.

      • Bernie, as disappointing as he is on Gaza, exists. But that would mean even the smallest bit of table crumbs going to the proles.

IMO if they had any sense, they'd convince him to run. It's not like he's much older than Biden (81 vs 82). But I honestly don't think there's the political will to have anything even remotely akin to a new New Deal.

        • If Bernie was somehow elected the outcome would be exactly identical as in case of Biden, because the reason for electing this or that dude would stay the same. Not to mention US mainstream succdems prove all the time that they are only performatively different than the ghoul lib block and even that difference is barely noticeable nowadays.
