I hate you because I just watched this episode last night and it made me cry. It was so sad...
Makes me cry every damn time. They retconned it, but the Seymour in THIS timeline still never saw Fry again.
The retconned is so dumb. Dont ruin a REALLY good emotional story.
I think the writers just couldn't bear it.
I don't blame them. I refuse to watch it, like at all.
