The year was 1984 and then Senator Biden worked with Republicans in the Senate to cut COLA for both Medicare and Social Security.
It passed the Senate by a single vote. You could argue that vote was Biden's.
It then promptly died in Tip O'Neill's House.
Without that additional context, it is disinformation which is clearly intended to affect views of Biden's current policies.
My brother in Christ, Joe Biden was and still is a tradition Republican who calls himself a Democrat. He is saying what ever needs to get votes. He has shown multiple times that he has no intention of going through with it.
