Google Maps is testing a new ad format that gives users the option to add a stop for a sponsored location during navigation.

Jesus, that is a gross way to inject advertising into turn-by-turn navigation.

Thats a test destined to fail
- But somehow they are still going to do it.
- As far I knew it was already a thing, kind of. They know what you search for and route you near those things… and make sure the businesses show up on the map.
