I'm sure this is good for privacy.

I can see this being interesting for about 4 minutes until the novelty wears off.
I don't get why proprietary apps love having this feature creep where more and more stuff gets bolted on, usually just making the app unnecessarily bloated, buggy, unintuitive, etc.
- I use similar feature on discord quite extensively (custom emote/sticker) and i don't feel they are just a novelty. Allows us to have inside joke / custom reaction to specific event and I really miss it when trying out open source alternatives.

But being able to block people from sending me voice messages is never coming, right? It's still gonna be my dream, though

Doesn't Snapchat do this already without AI?

Is this different to the custom sticker feature whatsapp has had for years?
Ive made a few stickers before that i can send to others.
Or is this a feature of the samsung gallery that is incorporated into whatsapp?

Signal has offered custom stickers for years, but it's up to the user to generate them.
