I'm actually amazed how well it works and how many plugins are compatible. Henry did a great job on this feature!
As a side note, I'm amazed that this lemmy thread has twice as many updoots as reddit. Looking forward to the day when I don't need to go on Reddit at all (it's just for Joplin and NeoVim)
@lung @laurent closed social media nowadays is drowned in bots talking to each other, so even when something goes viral, there's no way to tell if it's genuine interest. Not that lemmy immune to it, but lack of financial incentive plays a big role nonetheless.
We have a long way to go but you can already see how fediverse matures in front of our eyes and becomes real outlet for people socializing.
