  • I was in California and I saw the sky turn orange like some apocalypse. Like I was wearing orange sunglasses or something crazy. Then, I ended up moving to New York and a similar disaster happened that was unheard of but due to the raging wildfires in Canada all in the span of a handful of years. Likely that trend will continue so air filters are likely to be a necessary and common purchase unfortunately. Sea levels will rise given that the arctic will be ice free for at least during the summer so that will have severe implications.

Nations will need to cope. On a more opportunistic view, the West will likely be greatly weakened by said disasters (as well as the other wars they will be involved in) while China will likely continue its ascension and thankfully, China is taking the issue rather seriously these days with a frankly astounding push in renewables compared to everywhere else in the world. Ideally, China will be taking a more aggressive role and with the support of the global South, attempt to actually fix the issue meaningfully.

It could be dark, but as the saying goes, "it is darkest before the dawn"
