A lot of players seem to be getting serious knee injuries these days. Anyone know if it's on the increase, or just a recency/availability bias in my head?

Is there any open data available on injuries we can interrogate?
So, this is what we knew was going to happen, in the general sense - frustrating injuries will happen. Will Ange’s *system* cover the gap? Can the team, the play style, and the strategy at game time make up for the loss of a single player with a supernatural ability to play a ball into a very specific spot in front of goal?
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what impact this has. Ange is on record as saying he doesn't really use like for like players as backups - he likes to have a squad full of options. So he must be adaptable. He will have experienced losing a key player with a specific and directly irreplaceable skillset.
Maddison is probably the closest in terms of being able to deliver a ball. Perhaps push him wide at times and get Gio or Deki working 10.
