I was big into zen a couple years ago. Sat one day thinking about how I could use things like water as constants to focus my attention. Realized that everything is like water, always flowing and changing, but with a level of consistency to it. Definitely changed how I percieve the world.
Even though this isn't the first time I've heard this idea, this just resonated with me. Thank you!
