family fighting
my family is always fighting and everyone instantly starts yelling. If someone outside saw it theyd think we're unhinged. it is horrible, we get along most of the time but sometimes something flares up and it makes my stomach turn. i try and get everyone to be calm and accept what the others are saying and respect them but then theyre just stubborn and agitate me to the point i lose it myself. what do?

I don't think it's unusual for voices to be raised in a passionate disagreement, but maybe it is and I'm just in a similar situation.
My family RARELY yelled. I have a couple siblings and my mum and pop have been married since like college, and they’re retired now. Growing up though, we had arguments and stuff, my siblings and I would bicker and tease each other, but yelling was VERY RARE, only huge events. Maybe a couple times a year multiple people would yell.
