Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro are here! - Nothing Community

I didn't make a mega thread for this launch. I didn't relize it was happening my bad.

Here are some notes:

Software:

running nothing os 3.1 and android 15

Nothing said the 3a series will get 3 years of os updates and 6 years of security updates.

hardware:

The main difference is the 3a gets a nice blue variant and its zoom lens is downgraded to a 2x non periscope zoom compared to the pro with a 3x periscope zoom lens. Selfi camera is 32mp while on the pro its 50mp

Release:

it will be released globably (U.S. as well),

  • The storage options are disappointing. How hard can it be to make a 512gb if not a higher storage model. Maybe, if there was a way to expand the limited fixed internal storage of a smart phone..

  • They look decent although 3 years is not a lot. 4 would be fine.

    • Yeah, there are 6 years of security updates, so it's less of an issue imo.

    • Its a lot more than most Android OEMs outside of Google and Samsung. And for a device that (as far as I can tell) doesn't have a lot of other compromises? It's not too terrible.
