To people migrating from reddit. At the end of the day no one will notice you left. What's better, leave and be forgotten or getting banned in the most spectacular way?

Don't care either way. I came because it really seemed like reddit was becoming a terrible place. The arbitrary banning and increasing warnings on restricting content made it time to go. I'm just grateful that lemmy is an alternative that (so far) seems to capture the spirit of original reddit, without all the increasing b.s.
I just hope that I become as comfortable with lemmy as I did with the reddit app. I hated switching from Comet to the reddit app. But, I got used to the reddit app, so I'm sure I will with lemmy. It's nice to have 75% of reddit, but a nice 3rd party app to use again. I'm new and learning!
It's a different vibe. It doesn't come with all sunshine and rainbows but once you find a niche it's easy to settle in.
It’s definitely really hard to replace my lighthearted subs, but I’ll take the actual sane discussion about news and fair moderation over that. Shit is too dire for me to get hung up on memes
I've been using Boost and it's quite a bit like rif. I adored rif, the best interface for reddit on mobile. Boost is already way better than the official reddit app, that thing is terrible and full of bugs galore.
