Maybe RCMP should have spent this effort uncovering planned assassinations of Canadian citizens by supposed allied governments.
Well... Either the evidence will be presented, or people will lose faith in the RCMP. That bit at the end of the article, "already disrupted illegal activity" should be used as a demand for the corresponding evidence.
I don't doubt the possibility of such a remote police station in foreign communities. But disrupting community services is also a non-starter.

Maybe the rcmp are capable of investigating more than one crime at a time? I mean, by your logic they should only investigate one thing at a time and ignore everything else?

The only public information we have about the RCMP investigating the murder is that the investigation is "progressing" (back in September), and now, that the RCMP are "very engaged" with the Sikh community, when the NDP leader questioned the minister of public safety two days ago.
There are things that should be kept private during investigation (like the identity of suspects, whistleblowers, etc.), but it is extremely disappointing that the two other planned assassinations in Canada was not uncovered and announced by the RCMP, but by a US indictment document (who at least arrested a suspect in Czechia).
If we look at the first hand source (since there's nothing new in the news), the last two articles published by RCMP are (1) a call to identify the homicide suspect in August, and (2) a correction in September, where the only action point is that "Surrey RCMP has increased patrols around Gurdwaras and Temples". We have no idea whether they have found and arrested the murder suspect, found out who paid the suspect and orchestrated the murders, and if there are other political assassinations that were attempted by other nations.
They don't need to give a play-by-play details, but at least they should have a better response to the updates from the US indictment.
