They didn't overturn abortion, they overturned a right to privacy. Much more scary when you think of it like that
275 3 ReplyAre you claiming that they overturned the 4th amendment?
6 71 ReplyThe 4th amendment has been effectively dead for a long time. I think the war on drugs killed it.
62 1 ReplyNot for all of us. I still refuse to answer any question on the census except how many people live there and I don't help process servers.
3 1 ReplyFair, but to say this is what did it is a bit dramatic. Ideally, the court shouldn't be deciding these issues anyway and legislators should actually be doing their job.
2 11 ReplyLol, 4th amendment strawman backfired huh
10 3 ReplyNo contradiction there. They said the court overturned a right to privacy (based on the ruling of a very specific issue), then the next person said the war on drugs did it. Are those two stances the same thing to you?
1 0 ReplyQuestioning a direct claim is a strawman argument now?
3 5 ReplyAre you questioning my direct claim rn?
3 1 ReplyYou could've just said you didn't know what you were talking about

58 0 ReplyThat's actually a very good way to put it.
Look at some of the rules they've tried to pass. Checking on high school students' mensuration, checking on people who leave the state for abortions, trating miscarriages as murder.

20 0 ReplyAre we not talking about the supreme court?

Yeah, pretty much. Look at how stupid-state AGs are demanding women's health records from sane states. https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/republican-state-ags-are-seeking-state-medical-records-rcna94935
14 0 ReplyYeah that's pretty trash. But that's still a separate issue and not what SCOTUS ruled on
