Anytime I click a Reddit link it tries to force me to sign in before I can look at anything, or tries to force me into the app even if I do sign in sometimes. It's gotten to the point that I just completely ignore Reddit now since it's so difficult just to view it..

I only go to old.reddit.com and I don't really get most of that. I do have a few ublock rules, but it's one of the nice things about old reddit being left to die: it doesn't get any of the enshittification features.
That's a problem solved by libreddit/redlib.
