So you think because the article goes to excruciating length of documenting some Russian spys booking flight tickets in and around Europe but otherwise fails to make any convincing argument other than repeating the long known idea that this might have been an intelligence operation against US spys and their families, this becomes news about Europe?
This isn't even news in general, but at most a nice spy story very thin on actual facts. It might very well be true but this isn't news and just barely investigative journalism.
I wonder where the next goal post will be but I'm going to put in the towel since you've got the upper hand on what gets removed and what isn't.
It's obvious to me that my advice is both uninvited and will be ignored but I'll give it regardless because I'm an asshole. If you make a mistake when modding, it's better to say "sorry, my bad" and move on.
I might have let this one slip if I didn't just had to remind another poster here that /c/europe is not for any recent "Russia is bad" article they can find on the net and constantly cross-post spam these here.
So I am sorry that I might have slightly over-reacted but I stand by my original idea that this article off-topic for this community.
I get it that people like posting "Russia is bad" articles here, because the other popular Europe community on Lemmy.ml is full with Tankie shit, but this kind of stuff gets boring real fast.
