Funny that a lot of those don't get posted here at all.
This community is such a narrow slice of the demographics compared to what is on reddit. Even still, I think just 2-3 of those I remember seeing posted here. There are a couple that are popular on both communities I can think of, but didn't have a chapter released during this window (Damedol, Akutsu, One Punch Man).
I was especially surprised to see Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi as number 1, since I had actually debated not bothering to post the most recent chapter at all, since I'm not all that into it, and it never seems to generate any interest. I ended up posting it anyway, and I checked yesterday after seeing this and it has two upvotes - my default one and one other (which I'm willing to bet is yours). It's actually my least popular post for the week.
It's a thing I've thought about more than once here - a sorr of oddity that I have mixed feelings about.
I used to post threads on r/manga, but there, it was that some of the stuff I read and like is so obscure that if I didn't post it, it didn't get posted at all. And it was always drowned out by all the other posts for more mainstream titles, so it was very much a fringe thing. Here, I'm still posting obscure stuff because I read it and enjoy it, but the other people who post regularly are doing pretty much the same thing. And a lot of the more mainstream stuff isn't getting posted at all.
For example, I just checked to make sure, and as I rhought, One Piece has never been posted here at all.
It's sort of nice in a way, since my tastes overlap so much with the other people posting here, but it's sort of weird in a way too, since I'm so used to being on the fringe, and the stuff that I'm used to seeing dominate the board often isn't here at all.
It'd of course be nice to get some more regular posters, but the strange thing to me is that what we most lack and most need are people who will post the mainstream shounen action and isekai stuff - that that's the stuff that's falling through the cracks here.
It's like going to a potluck barbecue and discovering that everybody brought exotic appetizers and nobody brought hamburgers or hot dogs or potato salad.
