The only mistake Billy made is giving anything to AdBlock Plus, the people who have sided WITH the ads, instead of uBlock Origin, the true MVPs of the ad blocking world. I guess uBlock doesn't accept donations unfortunately, but still, ABP is shady and I would not support them.
- Some of the block list maintainer do accept donations, if I recall.
  
  I did a quick search and they don't make it easy. Peter Lowe's ad and tracking server blocklist is the only one I found. EasyList doesn't seem to have a donation link, nor Dan Pollock at someonewhocares.org. Also worth noting that UBO doesn't take donations. You could always subscribe to AdGuard, but that's mixed.

- uBlock Origin is also not piracy, but it is the real way to block
- Technically we are just keeping the waters clean of unusable, useless garbage. The ad corps are invading our waters.

If you buy premium, do it to support the creators you watch, fuck doing it just for no ads.

  I lack the money to buy something from every creator I watch (literally over 100 channels subbed to), and premium genuinely does pay them more than ads. Sure, like half is going to google, but it's definitely the easier way to support the creators that does actually pay them.

  If i am going to be supporting creators I think YT premium would be the way I would do it.
  YouTube Premium is super helpful in distributing money automatically to creators without needing to think about it.
  I have many many creators I tune in and out of I am not going to be trying to manage all of their patreons and trying to manage all of that.
  Honestly I have to much crap already, 99% of merch is just garbage IMO that i will never use and don't need.

  Yes, but if I was only doing it for no ads, I'd rather just use ad block. Instead, I'm doing to to support the creators I watch in the laziest way possible, because I'm letting Google do all the work to spread the money out.

SmartTube (for Android TV) accepts donations.
- And it runs great! Only solution for YT on TV.

Abp is complete garbage. Use Ublock origin.

Should support uBlock Origin and AdGuard, the maintainers of EasyList too
- uBO doesn't accept donations and AdGuard is a commercial entity that was more than enough money.
