i'm fixing some performance issues

i'll also be extending the event time to hopefully compensate for the lost time

- thought I'd share my version too which is more of a pixel by pixel version of the 1000x500 pixel canvas ^^

  Here's mine at 4x zoom for comfortable viewing. It's a screenshot so some HTML element may be covering the bottom left pixel.
