From my understanding, yes. As soon as the kernel driver is loaded you are fucked
I had a customer getting the bsod on boot. Happened about 2 seconds after the windows login screen showed up so no time for anything.
Here I was hoping that the solution was so simple as "install Linux" but even with the now more modern installers that takes more than 3 minutes.
