I mean I am not a snob, what you think is the best rapper or hiphop music is fine by me. I am from the 70s, the hiphop I listened to back in my teens is considered oldskool and so is my top 8 top of my head.
KRS, Kool G Rap, Rakim, Mike Gee and Baby Bam from the JBs, Kool Keith, Chuck D and Flav.
There is so much good hiphop out there, I could ramble on everyone I listen to.
That's a fine list. Thanks sharing. Gutted that Big Daddy Kane never made your list though. But that's just my personal bias 😂
Big Daddy Kane is on my goat list, just not this particular one as I got my hands tied to a top 8. :)
Hahaha. This little conversation has brought me joy. I'm very much of the opinion that music is subjective, so even when I disagree with someone's list, it's an opportunity for me to go looking for something that sounds good to my ears. But there's a special part of me that is always proud to see the legends honoured and your list does that. Thank you for sharing.
