I'm not sure that I understand your request (alternative as compared to...?), but I have used isbn.nu for many, many years now.
1 0 ReplyThat, you put the ISBN and it gives you author, publisher and date data. I use it as a "librarian" in Bookwyrm/OpenLibrary.
