Judging by what said about US health care (that his son dying means that no one should ever have a better experience or outcome than his son did or it somehow dishonors his son's memory) he's almost certainly one of those "pointlessly bad thing must continue because it happened to me, Jack" types anyway.
I think on this particular pointlessly bad thing he'd be more "I have never considered and refuse to consider why we must do pointlessly bad thing forever"
Unfortunately I can’t really tell you. Last thing I remember seeing of him was trying to play it cool after the fact and sell some plushes in a comic addressing his exposure.
But aside from the odd joke, I noticed that he’s become a lot less relevant in casual conversation online. Which is good because he is the only right wing cartoonist that is actually good at what he does.
