Hahaha...yeah I still say kiddos, but they're both teens and pretty grown up. His teachers emailed him his work for the rest of the term and over the holidays, and his sister is emptying his locker this week.
Yeah, that's pretty much it. Get him to take his temperature and adjust meds as needed. Make sure he's eating (eggs and chicken are doing the job). It's way easier than a toddler.
Last night we ended up watching old Simpson's eps and he fell asleep on the couch, where I left him.
It was quite gradual, so you don't really notice until one day you do notice and then you need a moment to gather yourself.
The journey was all worth it. I still look back at hiking photos from like 4 years ago and kids look like totally different people.
The best part is that they can help out with stuff. This Friday I've got some minor maintenance items to attend to at home, and my son will be helping whether he likes it or not.
