I miss minidiscs. I did a lot of field audio recording with them. They were damn near indestructible.

That's cool! I've never seen that before and the gimmick is interesting. I had the one Fisher Price made.
Even then they already got rid of the headphones port! Anti Audio Jack Mafia was strong then too!
At least it didn't have bluetooth audio delay
That's a really innovative idea, and solves a lot of transportation problems since phonographs were usually stationary in a house.
However, the size doesn't fix the problem of carrying around 10" disks to play on it, so the setup is only as compact as its components. Still better than carrying around a cabinet, though!

Seen these on Jay Leno's Garage. Cars used to come with them and were intended to be used for picnics and whatnot.
