The last time was truly different. So then it was a toss-up between Ted Cruz and Trump, or as the Republican leaders at the time said, a choice between being poisoned vs. shot in the head. They chose the poison.
After that it came down to Hillary vs. Trump in the general election, and due to some helpful little Russian interference, people voted against her. Not for him, mind you, but against her. It was a one-time thing that would never, Ever, EVER happen aga-...

So quick thing. Our community has a rule of 'No bigotry'. Honestly? I think that if you voted for Trump you basically violated that rule. So lemme be clear.
If you voted for Trump, voted for Third Party, or didn't vote at all and you say as much on this community, I will permanently ban you. Yes, I am including Third Party in that. Jill Stein is an open asset of the Russians. More over, a Third Party candidate was never going to win. Your position of a protest vote did nothing other than fuck over everyone else in the country. You are just as bad as the people who did not vote and worse than the people who voted for Trump. At least they were honest about what they were doing. You deluded yourself into believing that a completely different election was happening and actively enabled fascism.
You do not get to call yourself a Star Trek fan when your actions have shown that you go against absolutely everything that it stands for and represents.

There wasn't really a Stamets on screen that was like the mood I'm currently in because no Stamets actually felt rage. It was always annoyance or frustration or being emotionally hurt. Even the Terran Stamets was more self-concerned and worried.
No, the only comparable Stamets that I could think of was one raised by Klingons and whose parents were killed by Romulans. The only reason I said that I'd ban people here is because that's all I can do. If this was an in person community, I'd be kicking people in the throat until their trachea collapsed.
Look on the bright side: no Trumper would ever feel welcomed in this community regardless of your declaration - the whole entire community supports this level of thinking, and we are more than just Star Trek. We are STAR TREK!:-)
